This poem was the first thing I wrote in my diary, and now I want to share this with all of you. The poem isn’t mine but i love it, and so will you all. Hopefully.
Henry Charles Bukowski was a German-American poet, novelist, and short story writer. His writing was influenced by the social, cultural, and economic ambiance of his home city of Los Angeles. Born: 16 August 1920 Died: 9 March 1994

“If it doesn’t come bursting out of you in spite of everything, don’t do it. Unless it comes unasked out of your heart and your mind and your mouth and your gut, don’t do it. if you have to sit for hours staring at your computer screen or hunched over your typewriter searching for words, don’t do it. if you’re doing it for money or fame, don’t do it. If you’re doing it because you want women in your bed, don’t do it. If you have to sit there and rewrite it again and again, don’t do it. If it’s hard work just thinking about doing it, don’t do it. if you’re trying to write like somebody else, forget about it.
If you have to wait for it to roar out of you, then wait patiently. if it never does roar out of you, do something else.
If you first have to read it to your wife or your girlfriend or your boyfriend or your parents or to anybody at all, you’re not ready.
Don’t be like so many writers, don’t be like so many thousands of people who call themselves writers, don’t be dull and boring and pretentious, don’t be consumed with self- love. The libraries of the world have yawned themselves to sleep over your kind. Don’t add to that. Don’t do it. Unless it comes out of your soul like a rocket, unless being still would drive you to madness or suicide or murder, don’t do it. Unless the sun inside you is burning your gut, don’t do it.
When it is truly time, and if you have been chosen, it will do it by itself and it will keep on doing it until you die or it dies in you.
“I have never read Harry Potter. Nor have I ever watched a complete movie of Harry Potter in my life. I don’t know how to play PUBG. I have never used tiktok in my life. I don’t like others spending on me.
I’m a girl and I don’t like shopping until and unless I use my very own money to do so. I don’t like going to beauty parlour. I don’t like going to malls. Pink is not my favourite color. I don’t know a thing about cooking. Rose is not my favourite flower. Instead I like going for long walks in the park or on the road covered with leaves in autumn. I like spending time with old people like grannies and grandpas. I love talking about space and galaxies than boys. I like vintage rather than sparkles. I believe in magic. I believe in fairytales. I believe dreams do come true. I love reading novels than watching movies. And I will choose my dad’s cooked food over any edible thing in the world, on any day of my life. Would you believe if I say, I trust there are girls out there who are like me too.”
Why to live within the social norms? Why not just be who you are and do what makes you happy?
I would love to know your thoughts about it.

When I was in class 12th, I read this line given below in my History book. These sentences were written by Abu Rayhan al–Biruni, an Iranian scholar and traveller.
Abu Rayhan al–Biruni (973 – after 1050)
This is what I learnt from it.
The answer to every question raised and the solution to every problem faced, is within the question itself or is somewhere near the problem. All we need to do is keep calm and try looking for it.
Sometimes we can’t find the things that are just in front of us. There can be only two reasons for that ; either we are in hurry and we don’t care to look properly, or we keep telling ourselves that the thing cannot be here and must be somewhere else, somewhere far from here.
Like I never knew I would come up for something to write about while reading my History book.
Conclusion is, all we should do is Observe calmly. Whatever else we require, will be found when the right time and right question comes.
Remember, self doubt will take you nowhere. I’m not asking you to be overconfident because that will also take you nowhere. I’m just asking you to trust yourself enough to know that you can do whatever you take charge of. And no matter how difficult the problem is, you will always find the solution if you trust yourself, observe the situation and stay calm.

I read it on the internet two years back and this is something I want all of you to read. It helped me so much at that time, you know, when you are a complete teenager, so full of dreams, so full of life and you have this passion to achieve everything you have ever wanted to and all. And deep down you are scared of whats and buts. Fear is the only thing that will limit you and stop you from being yourself. But ones you learn to accept the worst you will be the best, you have my words on this.
Here’s the poem.
“You are not scared of the dark, you are scared of what’s in it.
You are not afraid of hights, you are afraid of falling.
You are not afraid of people around you, you are afraid of rejection.
You are not afraid to love, you are afraid of not being loved back.
You are not afraid of letting go, you are afraid of excepting the truth that the person is gone.
You are not afraid of trying again, you are afraid of getting hurt for the same reason.”
– Ezinwanne Dominion
Now ask yourself, do all these things really matter? Can’t we overcome them and be the untamed, unedited version of yourselves? Yes sometimes we need to change for our own good but never for someone else to accept us.
We need to learn that it’s okay to have fears, it’s okay to be imperfect, it’s absolutely okay to not be okay but what is not okay is to let you fear limit the potential in you.

This is the first novel I read. The only thought in my mind was, “Novels are BORING!”… But this was my Christmas gift and I love my gifts no matter what. So there I was sitting in my room, opening the first page of this nicely coloured book. (Yes, I judged the book by it’s cover! But what do you expect from a 12year old?)
Unexpectedly I got lost in the stories. As the tales proceeded, I laughed when the author laughed, I felt sad when he did and I even shed tears when something went bad…Was I in love? Hell yes! I was in love with reading!
I just love how books, novels, poems and stories take me to a different world. A world that I never knew even existed.
And since than I have never stopped reading and it has become my very own guilty pleasure.
Tell me about the first novel you read or any guilty pleasure of yours in the comments.

I have started this Blog because it’s good to talk to people and make new friends. It’s good to know that someone out there reads what you write, understand the things you are going through and help you overcome them. Words are not just a set of alphabets, they can be a source of inspiration, they can be a helping hand to someone in need.
No matter what, we all need friends. And the situation in which our world is right now, we all need each other. This blog is not just my blog, it’s OUR blog. Do comment, do speak up, share your experiences. You never know, maybe your words and experiences can be inspirational for many of us.
