I write when I’m upset,

I write when I’m broken.

I write when I have nowhere else to go.

I write when that’s the only thing I want to do.

I write when I have to one to talk to,

I write when my soul asks me to.

I write when I’m happy.

I write when words pull me towards them,

I write when my thoughts make me overwhelmed.

I write when my pen wants to dance,

I write when my feelings are the song.

I write when my soul wants to fly high in the sky,

I write when my words begin to cry.

I write when my heart wants to dive deep into the sea,

I write when I want to show what I see.

I write when the paper pleads,

I write when my pen wants to bleed.

I write for the pain that’s biting,

I write for the sake of writing.
